Weihnachten kommt // Christmas coming

Allerorts ist wieder liebevoll und festlich dekoriert, zuhause, im Atelier und gegenüber...und deshalb wünsche ich Euch schon jetzt ein Frohes Fest und eine schöne Weihnachtszeit! Nur falls ich nicht mehr dazu komme. Gerne würde ich nämlich das Jahr nur halbwegs so aufgeräumt hinterlassen, wie es vor zwei Wochen mal kurz war, hab da aber so meine Zweifel. Vielleicht binde ich einfach ein hübsches Schleifchen dran, oder auch zwei, dann macht's gleich viel mehr her. aufgrund der extremen schönwetterlage musste die tombola-auslosung (153 kommentare!! mir wird ganz schwindelig ;) leider verschoben werden. stattdessen haben wir uns in die kühle heimische druckkammer geflüchtet, um endlich mal die alte druckpresse in gang zu setzen. toll, ganz neues arbeiten, aber für den anfang gar nicht schlecht. ich freu mich auf mehr...

because of the great weather i had to postpone the tombola (153 comments!! i get dizzy... ;) we spent the day in our cool home printing studio and finally set the old printing press in motion. not bad for the beginning, can't wait for more...... the winner of the tombola will be announced tomorrow :) have a nice sunday!

we are almost done with renovating our home - and loving it... here's an all new and shiny souvenir from siebenmorgen, now available here. in the meantime, i am so happy about the first spring flowers in my garden and earnestly hope, that the world will not end too soon and that we all can enjoy our beautiful home for a while..

urlaub in unterfranken // holidays in franconia

hach, war das schön...ferien in der heimat! das paradies liegt inmitten von fränkischen spargelfeldern und rübenackern..ein sommertraum!

oh, this was wonderful...we spent the holidays in my hometown, on the franconian countryside. there's a little paradise amongst asparagus and carrot fields...a summer dream!

keller ausräumen // cleaning out the basement

wir haben angefangen den keller auszuräumen, der noch voll ist mit zeug von oma, tante etc. pp. uralte sachen, viel schrott, aber auch viel schönes. fällt schwer alles rauszuschmeissen...unser garten sieht aus wie ein flohmarkt!

we started to clean out the basement, which ist filled with old crap from grandma, aunts, etc.. lots of old stuff, lots of junk, but many pretty things, too. it's hard to get rid of everything, so our garden looks like a fleamarket..

home work

last saturday i have rearranged my work space at home, it was so necessary! my house and its rooms are tinytiny, so i have to use each inch of space very wisely. my boards, drawers, boxes were nearly to explode! i could move all that stuff to my studio at the nordbahnhof, too, but as sure as i love it there, it's surely not a place i have big faith in.
first, no way to store fine paper goods, too humid, too dusty. and second, i don't trust my roomies at all. my studio rooms are on a second floor appartement of the old train station house, where some people illegally live instead of legally work. it's such a messed up place, a perfect place for artists studios, but living there?! well..
sometimes this is really getting on my nerves, sucking my energy, time, spirits. i wish i could afford another, professionel studio this size, where i don't intrude some hippiesque lifestyle with my way of daily work and nobody intrudes mine. but rents here in stuttgart are horribly high! so, all my hopes are on the renovation of the barn in my backyard and the printing studio that hopefully will develop there.

so, i enjoy my newly arranged home desk a lot!! and now, concentrate and off to the studio, theres still some serious printing to be done.
