Advent, Advent...

...ein Lichtlein brennt, Plätzchenduft liegt in der Luft, Tannengrün und Kugelrund machen unser Häuschen bunt! Schade nur, daß man die Kekse (eigentlich) nur angucken darf, die Zuckerbäckerin ist da sehr streng, aber die Vorfreude und das Entzücken in ihren Augen lassen derzeit jeden Dezembertag schon zu einem kleinen Weihnachten werden. Wenn doch nur der Schnee mal liegen bleiben würde! Wir zählen die Tage und lassen bald Ruhe einkehren in SiebenMorgen:

Eisbär und Herzfuchs gehen dieses Jahr schon etwas früher in den
Winterschlaf: Vom 10. Dezember bis zum 08. Januar bleibt der SiebenMorgen Shop geschlossen. Offene Bestellungen werden bei Zahlungseingang bis 11.12. noch vor Weihnachten verschickt.
Wer also noch ein Geschenk aus SiebenMorgen unter den Baum legen möchte, sollte schnell zugreifen. Trallari, tralla hey, tralla hopsassa ;)

House is decorated and smells like cookies, the kid  is glowing with excitement and joy, counting the days, every day is like a little christmas time now! If only the snow would stay for a while... Soon the land of SiebenMorgen will rest in calm: Winterbreak: Shop will be closed from Dec. 10 to  Jan. 08. All orders with payment until Dec 11 will be shipped before christmas. So if you still need something for under the tree from SiebenMorgen, you should get it now! :)

ach beinahe hätt' ich's vergessen...passend zu Geschenkpapier und Weihnachtskarten gibt's auch noch ein Stempelset mit ganz kleinen Klingelkugeln zum Selbstverzieren und Gesichter reinmalen. heute: der erste regentag seit langem. und genauso fühlt es sich auch an, die nase läuft, der hals kratzt, die katze ist griesgrämig und das fiebrige kind bellt wie ein kleiner feldwebel. da muss man mit was besinnlichem gegenhalten und deswegen gibt es heute hier, auch wenns noch ein wenig hin ist, die letzten drei motive zur herbst-und winterstempelkollektion. für eure weihnachtsgrüße... warm anziehen und bleibt gesund!

aaaahh, endlich tut die heizung wieder! endlich wieder warme füße, warme hände und warm ums herz. da fällt einem kurz vor (weihnachts)schluss doch noch was besinnliches zum basteln ein... 5 handbedruckte papieranhänger im formschönen set, zum geschenke aufhübschen, baum schmücken, etc.pp., gibts hier. mollig warme grüße an alle eingeschneiten & schnupfennasen..

winterleuchten poster print // printmaking week 47

yes, i did it!! i have finished the last two blocks for the annual winterleuchten market poster print. yay!! it was damn cold in my studio, no fun printing at all. also i have cut my thumb while carving the last block and it hurt, especially when it got soaked in terpentine...anyway, i am very releived the biggest work is done and the print came out quite nice. now it's ready to be processed..


printing the first layer, a light yellow...



second layer, a transparent cyan blue. it's much more radiant in reality, the photos don't show it very good. but hey, the weather and light was a washed out dark gray. brrr...


and this is it!! well, what is aaalways great is, when you discover shortly before printing, that you have cut a wrong date!! i made it 2009 instead of 2008!!!!! amazing! i mean, there i sit three days designing and cutting on the block, carefully watching every detail, rethinking twice, three times and i don't recognize the mistake?! gosh, where was my mind???? now i have to carve a single 8 to replace the 9, well, well....as my grandpa used to say: if you don't have in your mind, you might have in the legs ( deutsch: wer's nicht im kopf hat, hat's halt in den beinen.)
